Earlier this week, the National Brain Tumor Society announced the addition of three new members to our national Board of Directors.
Each new member brings an exciting and diverse range of knowledge and expertise and all three bring the same dedication, and personal connection to our cause that the rest of our terrific Board has. It is without further ado that I introduce our new Directors.
Building from her professional experience as an experts and leader in Global Consumer Insights and Marketing Research at several well known companies, Autumn brings to NBTS an exciting vision and skillset for reaching more of the brain tumor community, as well as engaging the greater public with our cause.
Her talents are matched by her passion for the brain tumor community and relentless optimism that inspires others to join her in achieving our mission.
Autumn has been a dedicated volunteer in the Greater New York brain tumor community and in helping NBTS expand its marketing, communications, and awareness capabilities.
In joining the Board of Directors, Pat Connelly brings his family’s Bravehearts community with him, which has been raising funds and awareness in memory of Pat’s son Dylan who passed of a GBM at age 30. Pat brings unique leadership to the Board of Directors as not only a parent and caregiver, but also as a senior scientist and corporate leader at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Pat has exceptional experience in many of the mission-centric (research and scientific and regulatory policy) areas NBTS must deliver on to improve brain tumor research and galvanize the field in making wise and strategic decisions about growth. Pat deepens NBTS’ capacity to understand which points in the drug development pipeline our ripe for NBTS’ unique ways of intervening and creating positive change and momentum.
David Donabedian is inspired to fight back against brain tumors in memory of his mother. Dave brings a natural ability to make connections critical to fundraising, partnerships and the kind of collaborations that NBTS is dedicated to. Stemming from his work at Deutsche Bank/Alex Brown, Dave brings national reach to the NBTS Board that will help us expand out networks and foster relationships to raise resources for which we can apply toward our mission-driven programs.
I hope you see why we firmly believe that the strengths and expertise of Autumn, Pat, and David will make this Society – which is all OURS – even more impactful in the fight against brain tumors. It’s Your Fight, It’s OUR Fight.
With Sincere Gratitude,
David F. Arons, JD
