National Brain Tumor Society Statement on the Passing of Beau Biden

Published on May 31, 2015 in Press Release

National Brain Tumor Society is deeply saddened to learn of Attorney General Biden’s untimely passing. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the Biden family.

Attorney General Biden was a leader in public policy, a dedicated public servant and, by all accounts, a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and friend. We know he impacted many lives and will be missed greatly by those he has touched, including most of all his family and friends. We wish them comfort in their time of grieving.

National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) is committed to raising awareness about the impact of brain tumors and to improving the lives of brain cancer patients by finding better treatment options, and ultimately cures. Patients with brain tumors face not only devastating symptoms and low survival rates, but also a staggering lack of effective treatment options. Brain cancer is among the deadliest of all cancers, and has claimed too many lives.

National Brain Tumor Society is hopeful that our nation’s policymakers will continue to support efforts to strengthen America’s biomedical research and drug development landscape and foster life-saving treatments and cures for brain tumor and cancer patients.

Update: You can send your condolences to the Biden family here.
