Doubling Our Impact on #GivingTuesday

Your Support Fuels Us

This #GivingTuesday, there’s a great opportunity to double your impact when Facebook offers gift-matching on its fundraising and donations platform between 8:00 AM and midnight Eastern Time on December 3rd.

Facebook is matching donations on a first-come, first-serve basis until $7 million in eligible gifts are made. The match will be good for up to a total of $100,000 per nonprofit organization, and $20,000 per donor. Facebook is also covering all processing fees for gifts made directly through their donation platform.

One easy way to take advantage of the extra dollars Facebook has put up for grabs, and double your efforts to fuel cures, is to create a Facebook Fundraiser for the National Brain Tumor Society. Facebook Fundraisers allow you to enlist your friends, family, and other social media connections to support NBTS without even having to leave Facebook.

Here’s what to do (you can also read the instruction on our website, here):

  • Click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed or click here
  • Click Raise Money.
  • Select Nonprofit or Charity.
  • Select a charitable organization, choose a cover photo and fill in the fundraiser details.
  • Click Create.

Not comfortable asking others for a donation on Facebook?

If you want to contribute, you can still make a personal gift by simply visiting the National Brain Tumor Society Facebook page and simply clicking on the “Donate” button at the top of our page.

What about if you don’t have a Facebook account?

No worries, #GivingTuesday, at its core, is about the idea and spirit of giving to causes that are transforming the world, regardless of the platform used to make a gift. As such, anyone hoping to join in and support a new decade of breakthroughs with the National Brain Tumor Society on #GivingTuesday 2019 can contribute through the method they find most convenient or impactful

Whatever way you choose to get involved in #GivingTuesday this year, please know that we remain deeply grateful for your support and commitment. It’s been our community that has allowed NBTS to contribute significant advances to the field of brain tumor research and care over the past decade, and it’s your continued support that will fuel an even more hopeful and productive future.
